2nd Annual Aberdeen Santa Run 5k Fun Run/Walk

Join hundreds of Santas and other holiday characters for a festive run or walk through Wylie Park in Aberdeen, South Dakota! Running and walking in Santa suits is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED!

Everyone of all ages and abilities is welcome to participate. Whether you run, walk or simply want to be part of the holiday fun, the Aberdeen Santa Run is a great way to celebrate the season with family, friends and the community.

Participants will complete a 3.1-mile course through Wylie Park while celebrating the holiday season and supporting a local organization.

Register early! The first 300 registered participants are guaranteed the complete Santa Run swag package, including a Santa suit, long-sleeve T-shirt and commemorative Christmas ornament/medal.

Registration will remain open after the first 300 participants, but Santa Run swag packages are only guaranteed for the first 300 registrations.

The Race

The Santa Run 5K Fun Run/Walk

  • Everyone 13 and older runs or walks a 5K in a Santa suit (included in your race packet)
  • The course will start and finish within Wylie Park
  • PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED – PETS CANNOT ENTER THE ZOO AND DUE TO LIABILITY CONCERNS, PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE COURSE.

  • Packet Pickup: Friday, December 11 – 4-7 p.m. – Location TBD
  • Race Check-in: Saturday, December 12 – Wylie Park – The Birdhouse at 8 a.m. (CT)
  • Race Line-up: 9:45 a.m. (CT)
  • Race Welcome: 10 a.m. (CT)
  • Race Begins: 10:15 a.m. (CT)
  • Free Post-Race Hot Chocolate & Holiday Treats: Wylie Park – The Birdhouse, 11 a.m. (CT)

Registration Fees:

  • $30 per registration
  • All net proceeds benefit Warner Public Schools Cross Country program.

Packet Pickup:

  • Packet Pickup: Friday, December 11 – 4-7 p.m. – Location TBD
  • Race Day Packet Pickup: Saturday, December 12 from 8 a.m. – 9:45 a.m at The Birdhouse at Wylie Park

Parking: Available within Wylie Park

Restrooms: Only porta-potties will be available since all park facilities are shut down for the season

Weather Policy & Cancellation

In case of severe weather or event cancellation, no refunds will be issued, and the race will become a virtual race. All participants will still receive their complete registration package including:
